Kids Fashion Fair Pop-Up Vendor Spotlight: Noble Carriage
LA's first Fashion Mamas x Kids Fashion Fair pop-up shop officially opens at Platform Culver City on December 1st! To celebrate, over the next few days we're shining a light on the amazing brands that you'll be able to shop at our five-day concept space.
Noble Carriage is our go-to shop for ethical kids fashion. Founder Jen Hartford expertly curates each item in her whimsical shop, which offers gorgeous eco-friendly clothing, toys, and accessories that look as beautiful as they feel. We're so excited to announce that visitors at our pop-up will have the opportunity to build their very own Noble Carriage holiday gift boxes! Here, Jen tells us more about her beautiful business.
What inspired you to launch your brand and what were you doing before it?
Before starting Noble Carriage I was an award-winning designer by way of San Francisco ad agency, Hub Strategy and Communication. I also co-founded the made-in-the-USA bow tie brand Tasty Ties, where I developed the brand from the ground up and learned first-hand about manufacturing a product.
In 2014, I gracefully switched gears into my newest endeavor as founder and creative director of Noble Carriage, an online shop for organic baby clothing. I started Noble Carriage as a way to address the growing concerns of sustainability in fashion and the harmful effects that this industry has on farmers, the environment, and ultimately the end consumer. This challenge is far greater than just one company can tackle, so I focused our efforts where we could have the most profound effect: babies.
Capture the essence of your brand in one sentence:
Your one-stop shop for organic baby clothing and gifts that are good for your baby and the planet.
What is your favorite piece in your collection right now?
100% the Misha & Puff Popcorn sweater in Lilac. It is handknit in Peru with baby alpaca and naturally dyed. I know how difficult it is to create a product as sustainable as possible and Misha & Puff's dedication to creating a product that is equal parts sustainable and cute is something that should be honored. I consider this piece an heirloom that I would hand down for generations to come.
Who is your dream client?
Emma Watson. She doesn't have babies yet, but she is leading the sustainable fashion movement right now and actually makes a very BIG difference from the top. To have her stamp of approval on our brand would be a dream.
If your brand was a song, what song would it be?
"The Best is Yet to Come" by Frank Sinatra. As sustainable fashion evolves, so does Noble Carriage. It is important that we always have this song playing in the background of what we do, metaphorically speaking.
Shop Noble Carriage here, follow them on Instagram here, and catch them at our Kids Fashion Fair pop-up shop from December 1st through December 5th!
