Inside Baby Diego's Music Festival-Themed Second Birthday
Photos by Howl & Rose
Our founder Natalie Alcala took her son Diego to Coachella when he was six months old, which must be why the little dude is a true music lover. In honor of his love for beats, Baby D's second birthday party was music festival-themed. We learned from last year's festivities that this time of year is crazy-hot in LA, which is why we brought the party to Snooknuk — an adorable indoor playground and cafe on Larchmont Boulevard.
All attendees received "Diegopalooza 2016" wristbands that were customized via Etsy, and festival-inspired decor was picked up at a local party store. Our friends at the legendary Guelaguetza restaurant set up a delicious DIY taco bar, and themed donut holes were designed by Fantastic Donuts. Diego's very own Mimi Rose baked his smash cake, which as you'll see in the photos, the birthday boy couldn't get enough of.
LoveBug & Me brought the jams, and all mini partygoers went home with maracas and guitar balloon necklaces. As for activities, there was a bounce house (thanks to Snooknuk!) and a coloring page that Natalie designed via Photoshop using this photo. Diego likely won't remember any of this since he's still a tiny guy, but it's all good. His bash was a blast to put together!
