Mamas Making It with Freda Salvador

Last week, we brought our #MamasMakingIt panel to SF. Instead of our standard setup, we went for a more intimate setting to shine a light on our two speakers: Cristina Palomo Nelson and Megan Papay of cult-favorite shoe brand FRĒDA SALVADOR.

Their inspiring brand is designed by the two mothers in Sausalito, California and then handmade in Spain by a small family factory. And although everyone from Kaia Gerber to Gigi Hadid have been deemed a #FredaGirl, we love how Cristina and Megan have managed to keep their brand small and special.

Huddled in a warm and cozy circle at FRĒDA SALVADOR's Fillmore shop, our SF members loved asking the designer duo questions about how they built their successful business while balancing home life. Communication is everything, as is the ability to follow your instinct and move on if something just doesn't feel quite right. Our members also had a chance to share their own stories; we particularly loved when everyone revealed their favorite organizational apps/tools, ranging from Trello to Google Calendar to a good old Moleskine notebook. We all have a method to our madness, and someone we make it all happen.

Thank you to Megan and Cristina for inviting us into your gorgeous store. Much love to Electric Sky Wine for the genius wine stackers and Jane SF for the gourmet (and gigantic) cookies!
