Inside Our Whimsical Afternoon at Bob Baker's Marionette Theater
Photos: Howl & Rose
As Willy Wonka would say, it was a day of pure imagination. This past Saturday, August 4th, a crew of our LA-based members gathered for a totally whimsical afternoon of nostalgic entertainment at the Bob Baker Marionette Theater. The iconic cultural landmark, which dates back to the 1960s, treated us to "Enchanted Toyshop" an imaginative puppet show where tin men, teddy bears, jack-in-the-boxes and other classic children's toys came to life — much to the delight of adults and littles alike.
The affair was hosted by fellow LA member and Oh Joy! creative director Joy Cho, and in addition to viewing the unique performance, attendees got to be up close and personal to the performers and puppets during a meet-and-greet, and mingled during a sweet ice cream social. For those who weren't able to attend, we were lucky enough to have Howl & Rose to capture all the magic in these photos for us all to enjoy.
