“Networking is incredibly valuable, so it's important to build a great contact list and maintain good relationships.”

What do you do and what led you to this career?

I am a fashion stylist currently working on Fox's daytime TV show, The Real. I began working at a fashion pr firm in NYC right after college. During my time at the firm, I met a few stylists and loved hearing about the projects and photoshoots they were working on. I quickly realized that I didn't like sitting behind a desk all day and decided to reach out to my contacts in the styling world. My first job as an assistant stylist was on a shoot with Jay-z for Sky Delta Magazine. I absolutely loved the whole process and I instantly knew this was my passion.

What is the name and age of your little one?

Olivia Grace, who is 3 years old.

What has been your biggest career achievement thus far?

I think working on "The Real" is a huge achievement. I was based in NYC when the producers and talent reached out to me. I said yes without even thinking everything through. Although moving my family to LA for this job was scary and a bit challenging, it was all worth it. We love LA :)

What is the most rewarding aspect of being a mother?

My daughter has truly made me a better person. It's so rewarding watching her grow into this smart, kind, funny, and thoughtful little human. Guiding her through new experiences and sharing in her success is truly amazing.

And what is the most challenging?

Balancing work and being a great mom.

What is your best advice for someone new to your industry?

My best advice is to hustle and network. I remember working 12 hour days and still making it a point to attend fashion-related events in the evenings. Networking is incredibly valuable, so it's important to build a great contact list and maintain good relationships.

What is your best advice for a new mother?

It's okay to ask for help. I struggled with that as a new mother. I felt like I was bothering others or like I just needed to figure it all out on my own. My husband sat me down and reminded me that we're in this together. He's a huge help and so are my parents. I also reached out to other mamas on Facebook when I needed advice.

What's next for you? Do you have any exciting projects coming up?

I am working on a mommy and me jewelry line! It's been a crazy process but I am super excited about it, especially because it is something I am working on with my daughter, Olivia.
