WHAT DO YOU DO AND WHAT LED YOU TO THIS CAREER?
I’ve been a professional model for 15+ and since becoming a mom, I’ve been focusing on building my social media presence and wellness coaching business. My modeling career started in Russia as an early teenager and led me to travel all over the world for modeling and eventually brought me to live in NYC.
WHAT ARE THE NAMES AND AGES OF YOUR CHILDREN?
Baby girl Yeva, 22 months.
WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR BIGGEST CAREER ACHIEVEMENT THUS FAR?
Walking NYFW for nearly 20 seasons (spring and fall) as well as completely reinventing my career in my early twenties to become a plus size model, then completely reinventing my career again to work in the size in which my body is most comfortable. Also I feel very lucky to have been able to meet the most talented and incredible people from all over the world and not just be able to travel to, but actually live in so many countries and be completely immersed in [their] cultures, languages, and foods.
WHAT IS THE MOST REWARDING ASPECT OF BEING A MOTHER?
Watching my daughter evolve into her own person and all the sweet snuggles she gives me!
AND WHAT IS THE MOST CHALLENGING?
Definitely the lack of sleep and the challenge of finding time for myself.
WHAT IS YOUR BEST ADVICE FOR SOMEONE NEW TO YOUR INDUSTRY?
Be yourself and embrace who you are! I wish someone told this to me 15 years ago. I believe you can achieve so much by being your unique self (especially now, in the age of social media).
WHAT IS YOUR BEST ADVICE FOR A NEW MOTHER?
Take care of yourself so you can be a happy and present mom for your little one. Also, trusting that you’re the perfect mom for your child helped me in challenging situations when doubting myself.
