What do you do and what led you to this career?

I am the owner and designer of Little Sleepies, a baby and kids bamboo sleepwear line! This is a second career for me -- I worked for 15+ years in the film industry, where I was a studio executive for a major Hollywood studio. The movie business experienced a ton of change over the years, and that, combined with my priorities shifting after having kids, led me to take this entrepreneurial leap of faith into something that really inspired and excited me.

What are the names and ages of your children?

Sienna Bee, who is 5 years old, and Gavin, who is 3 years old.

What has been your biggest career achievement thus far?

The momentum and growth we've experienced in our first year of business in a brand new industry. I hit my five-year goals for the company in one year.

What is the most rewarding aspect of being a mother?

It's the greatest thing I've ever done and rewards me in so many ways every day. Every cliche is true. They are my purpose in life.

And what is the most challenging?

My heart wants to keep them in a bubble forever but my mind knows I must let them leave it as they start to get older.

What is your best advice for someone new to your industry?

Just jump in and course correct as you go. The best way to learn is by doing.

What is your best advice for a new mother?

Every stage passes so quickly - both the good and the bad. Soak up all you can and know that the challenging parts will soon be a memory!

What's next for you? Do you have any exciting projects coming up?

We're continuing to expand our line and have some exciting collaborations in the works!
